The MIXIT is the same as another Belkin 2.1A / 10W charger I used, but the MIXIT comes with a micro-USB charge/sync cable.
The MIXIT will charge up my Blackberry Bold 9900 as well as my Kindle Fire HD 7" and Samsung Galaxy S3.
The one thing that really bugged me was that the AC prongs are not rotated 90 degrees, so this Belkin takes up valuable space on a standard power strip or surge protector.
Using the Kill A Watt meter, the Belkin 2.1A consumes 8.9W of power when charging the Kindle Fire HD 7". This is just about 1 Watt shy of the full 2.1A rating, but that said, it is providing more current than the typical smartphone charger when connected to the KFHD7". It consumes 4W-5W of power when charging the Galaxy S3.
For the energy misers, this charger does consume 0.7W of power when on standby with a device connected to the charger. This doesn't amount to much in terms of power usage.
Overall: 5/5 stars, nothing really exceptional about this charger other than providing a slightly higher current to charge devices like the Kindle Fire HD 7" which should cut down on charging time for other tablets as well. For regular smartphones, it will still charge at a max of 1A current. It comes with a good quality micro-USB charge/sync cable.
Something clearly failed on this charger and it is now useless. For the amount of time I have owned this charger and for the number of times I used this charger, it should not be failing. Hopefully they stand behind their product and make this right.
